Portland Easter Weekend

Happy Easter! We had a great whirlwind tour through Portland. It was a race to see as many people and spend as much quality time as humanly possible. Back before having children Mandy and I could dash off to Portland on a moments notice and arrive four hours later at Mom's door step just in time for a quick jog around the pond and a steamy bowl of udon. Now our drive is something of a National Lampoon vacation, and this one included a lovely crawl through the infamous Everett-Tacoma I-5 nightmare (at peek rush hour!) After departing Mt. V at 4:30pm we pulled into Grammy D's driveway a little after 10:00pm Friday night. Much too late for that steamy bowl of udon and the thought of a glorious jog around the pond didn't even occur to me.

On Saturday morning after a blissful 5 hours of sleep (no joke!) Mom, Sam, and I left Benny in Grammy D's care for a quick walk to the park. That afternoon we visited Grandpa Jensen and "Christopher" Robin's place for a yummy chicken fry. Also in attendance, Great Grandpa Jensen, Jessie, Aunt Nell, cousin Em and Kevin. Great time had by all.

Sam on an Easter Egg Safari at Grammy D's. T'was quite windy and wet but no match for a 4th generation Jensen of the PacNW.

Easter Brunch was tasty and we were happy to see GG, Sally, Janie, and Great Uncle Bob. This was the first time Benny had met these family members and it looks like Bob's first time holding a baby, pretty good job!
